Promotional mugs, promotional ceramics, printed mugs

Promotional ceramics is one of the most frequently used forms of advertising. Due to their durability and price, promotional mugs are considered the most sought after advertising gadgets. A mug with a print, a cup, a tankard, a glass, and even the entire set are great as an advertising gift handed out during promotions, tastings or trade fairs.

Many companies use promotional mugs and cups to showcase their image. Our offer includes a wide selection of promotional ceramics, including promotional mugs, promotional cups, Magic Mugs, tankards and sets. We can put any print on the promotional mugs, e.g. your company logo, advertising slogan, company address details and others. The advertising print can be done in one or two or three colours or full colour.

We can print everything in our offer of promotional ceramics using any of the following various techniques

  • Direct Print is the cheapest method of printing on promotional ceramics. One of the main limitations of this method is the ability to only print in full colour - without half-tone colours.
  • Transfer Print is the most durable technique for printing promotional mugs. Unfortunately, this method is also the most expensive method.
  • Sublimation is the method that we most often use to print photos on promotional ceramics.
  • Sensitive Touch is a method of printing on mugs by etching with a sandblasting device.
  • Magic Mug is a technique where the colour of a promotional mug changes when exposed to heat. In this way, we see a magical effect with the appearance of an advertising print.

Project preparation

  • vector image made in Corel software, or saved as an EPS file, for ART PRINT, 300 DPI jpeg
  • fonts converted to curves
  • resolution for raster images: 300 DPI
  • we recommend selecting colours according to the Pantone colour chart
  • minimum line thickness:
  • TRANSFER PRINT & DIRECT PRINT: 0.2 mm in positive, 0.4 mm in negative,
  • TERMO INK: 1.5 mm in positive, 2 mm in negative,
  • SENSITIVE TOUCH: 0.8 mm in positive, 1.5 mm in negative
  • minimum font size:
  • TRANSFER PRINT & DIRECT PRINT: 7 pt in positive, 10 pt in negative
  • TERMO INK: text form not possible,
  • SENSITIVE TOUCH: 12 pt in positive, 24 pt in negative

Print durability

  • TRANSFER PRINT & DIRECT PRINT: Prints on porcelain and porcelite products are fired at a temperature of 800-840°C, this ensures their durability for washing in dishwashers. Prints on glass are fired at 560-620°C, therefore washing by hand is recommended.
  • TERMO INK: prints finished in this technology are subject to drying via UV lighting, therefore washing by hand is recommended.
  • ART PRINT & MAGIC MUG: prints finished in these technologies are heated at a temperature of around 180°C, therefore washing by hand is recommended.

Printing methods

Hydrocolor

Advantages:

  • Coating with any Pantone color,
  • the possibility of decorating the entire surface of the mug,
  • possibility of mixing with many decoration technologies,
  • realization from 108 pieces.

Limitations:

  • Coating retains its properties and colors for at least 400 wash cycles in dishwashers,
  • limited resistance to mechanical damage.

Technological stages:

  • preparation of paint according to the Pantone pattern book,
  • preparation of machine parameters,
  • dyeing the product in the spray chamber,
  • firing at a temperature of approx. 200 degrees C.

Laser engraving

Laser engraving can be made solely on metal elements of thermal mugs, Cosmo and Play&Go cover. Decoration surface: 3 x 3 cm, larger sizes, please contact the sales department.

Advantages:

  • low decoration cost,
  • realization from 36 pcs,
  • no set-up costs.

Limitations:

  • one-colour decoration,
  • engraving only outside the product within an indicated area,
  • minimal line thickness is 0,2 mm, in reverse - 0,4 mm,
  • minimal size of writing is 4 pt. in reverse - 6 pt.

Crystal Touch

Crystal Touch is technology which enables the application of exclusive crystals onto advertising porcelain. Thanks to a special production process and the glues used it is possible to combine Crystal Touch with a variety of decorating technologies: direct print, transfer print, Art Print, Sensitive Touch and Magic Mug. Our crystals are available in two standard colors: crystal-silver and crystal-honey.

Advantages:

  • exclusive character of decorating,
  • orders starting from 24 pieces,
  • possibility of mixing with many decoration technologies.

Limitations:

  • hand washing only

Sensitive Touch (sandblasting)

Advantages:

  • beautiful 3D effect
  • possibility of enhancing the effect by painting the sandblasted area

Limitations:

  • minimum font size 12 pt

Technological stages:

  • preparation of the design for plotting
  • plotting onto foil
  • transferring of foil onto product
  • sandblasting process
  • optionally spraying the sandblasted element with paint
  • removal of foil

THERMO INK – disappearing print when exposed to heat

The Thermo Ink technology is only possible in combination with direct printing, up to a maximum of 6 colors + black Thermo color. Thermo Ink imprint is subject to the UV curing process. For this reason, washing by hand is recommended.

Advantages:

  • the magical effect of the advertising message
  • perfect for full color themes

Limitations:

  • magical effect of promotional message
  • print on the external surface of mug only
  • wash by hand only

Technological stages:

  • preparation of the project for printing
  • machine printing directly on the product
  • firing process
  • machine printing with THERMO INK
  • UV curing process

MAGIC MUG – disappearing print when exposed to heat

The ‘Magic' coating does not guarantee full ‘concealment' of the print. The degree of transparency depends on the colour of the coating on the mug and the nature of the print.

Advantages:

  • photographic print quality
  • magical effect of promotional message
  • low cost
  • bright printing colours
  • perfect for small investments

Limitations:

  • wash by hand only
  • print on the external surface of mug only

Technological stages:

  • chemical hardening process

Art Print - photo-quality printing

Advantages:

  • Imprint retains its properties and colors for at least 1000 wash cycles in dishwashers
  • print of photography quality
  • low prototype costs
  • garish colours of print
  • perfect solution for low editions

Limitations:

  • wash by hand only
  • print on the external surface of mug only

Technological stages:

  • pattern's preparation for printing
  • printing on paper
  • ART MUG covering with paper
  • baking process

TRANSFER PRINT

Advantages:

  • large advertising area
  • can be personalised
  • durability for washing in dishwasher

Limitations:

  • none

Technological stages:

DIRECT PRINT

Advantages:

  • low printing costs
  • dishwasher safe overprint (except for overprints on glass, metal and plastic)
  • perfect for motifs in solid colours

Limitations:

  • print in solid colours without bitmap elements
  • print on the external product's surface within outlined printing surface
  • printing up to 6 colours
